What is a Washi Tower™?

Washi Tower™ is the SumLilThings™ brand of washi tape holders or stands. We launched our first Washi Tower™ in August 2020 as part of our Misfit Crew subscription box. Since then, we have continued to evolve the Washi Tower™ concept through our numerous themed releases, collaborations with other shops, and experimentation with new design elements. 

Facts & Specifications

Our Washi Tower™ have a number of distinctive design features, some of which includes:

• Colorful designs featuring our many SumLilThings™ characters and themes.
• Designs are printed double-sided and contained within a front AND back acrylic layer for a consistent, smooth finish to the overall product.
• The Washi Tower™ peg design is unique to SumLilThings™. Our peg design enables customers to easily insert/reinsert Washi Tower™ elements from the base, and all Washi Tower™ pegs are cross-compatible with any Washi Tower™ products.
• Certain variations of Washi Tower™ may include multiple “towers”, interlocking bases, and decorative elements like a themed back plate.
• Height, width and thickness measurements for the Washi Tower™ are intended to be 100% compatible with SumLilThings™ washi tapes, and thus may not be compatible with washi tapes not sold on our website.

"As much as I follow a lot of sticker shops and washi shops, I think SumLilThings is the only shop that sells washi stands, so I thought it was such a unique idea! Showcasing just a few of your favorite washi together with an adorable Misfit 'sitting' right on top just makes it a beautiful piece of decoration for my desk. Plus, it keeps it all together while still being able to use the washi so it prevents the washi from rolling off the desk accidentally or being left in the corner as a pile [...] Also, Kalon's dual stands can show a small story just by itself while holding your washi, and the connecting towers (like the Ninja ones) is nice because you can use them solo, or connect them for a mini-dual tower feeling. Plus, they don't take up too much space when taken apart (vs dual towers which has a larger base and large acrylic stand in the back).
